Tips on Choosing a Tax Preparer
+ Be cautious of tax preparers claiming they can obtain larger refunds than other preparers.
+ Avoid preparers who base their fee on a percentage of the refund.
+ Check credentials. Only lawyers, certified public accountants and enrolled agents (that's me) can
represent taxpayers before the IRS.
+ Find out if the preparer is affiliated with a professional organization that holds members to a code of
ethics. (I belong to the NATP - National Association of Tax Practitioners)
